Our Goals

To Provide a Christian atmosphere for children

To provide a climate for children to develop socially, physically, spiritually, and intellectually.

To provide the appropriate play experience that contributes to the developmental needs of the child

To recognize each child as a unique individual. Develop this uniqueness through love and enjoyment of learning and playing together.

To provide a loving, caring, safe, and fun environment for learning.

To socially help children feel comfortable in school, trust their new environment, make new friends, and and feel they are part of the group.

To emotionally help children experience pride and self-confidence, develop independence and self-control, and have a positive attitude toward life.

To cognitively help children become confident learners by letting them try out their own ideas and experience success, and by helping them acquire learning skills such as the ability to solve problems, ask questions, and use words to describe their ideas, observation, and feelings.

To physically help children increase their large and small muscle skills and feel confident about what their own bodies can do.

To develop self control, self-direction and independence.

VALUABLE EDUCATION with VALUES

At Hastings Catholic Schools, we partner with parents to shape the entire student - spiritually, intellectually, socially, emotionally and physically. During their time at HCS students participate in classroom learning, but are they also taught HOW to learn, giving them the necessary tools to be successful later in life. Social and moral development based in Catholic teachings prepare our students for the real world when tough decisions must be made.
