With their best showing on the ACTin the last five years, 90% of students who graduated last year from St. Cecilia took the test and posted a composite score of 23.0. Several students scored above 30, and 19 of 28 scored above the Nebraska State average of 21.5. One graduating senior achieved a score of 35 out of a possible 36 and earned recognition as a National Merit Scholar.

54% of 2013 high school graduates in the country took the test. The ACT measures college readiness on four benchmarks: English, reading, science, and mathematics. Nationally, only 26% of students who took the test met all four benchmarks. In Nebraska, 28% demonstrated college readiness overall, while at St. Cecilia, students were at 43% readiness overall and exceeded state readiness scores in all four of the designated benchmarks.
